Last night I was just casually scrolling through the internet as one does and I came across the most amazing picture. Graffiti drawn on a wall of a beautiful lady in a jam jar. I am her now.
So, this morning I did a little snooping around the rest of the web and discovered the amazing artworks of the Etam Cru (Etam, Sainer and Bezt). Comprised of three amazing artists that comb the streets painting their whimsical characters and scenes among the dreary everyday houses, of what looks like Spain. heir work is vast and beautiful. You can see some of my favourites from the three artist below but you can check them out here and see for yourself.
mmm such pretty. so inspired.
I want these on mugs actually.
There are so many amazing Illustrators out there that I literally cannot consume their work fast enough.
This is James Gilleards work, that he did for a Software company a little while ago. I really like his style of illustration and his use of colour and caricaturisation as well as how flippin' cool the little characters look I just wanna squish them and maybe have little bobble heads on my desk to look at sometimes cause they look like they would understand all your inner turmoil. (What a long sentence, I apologise...)
Here are some of his works, but you can see more at his Behance page here.
Most of his lectures are incoherent ramblings and him shouting at people to stop using their laptops and people falling asleep next to you in the Auditorium and so many Music Videos, but every now and then he'll say something cool an interesting and maybe funny if you're tired enough to find anyhting funny.
Today he shouted at us about Dieter Rams and told us we were all uncultured little chilren and then proceeded to tell everyone what was wrong with their designs and grumble about needing coffee and a cigarette.
Besides all that though, he's pretty cool.
So I did a bit of a Google and found a bunch of nice things on the internet about this Dieter Rams person and as it turns out his stuff is pretty legit and will make shaving, listening to some fancy records and also waking up or running late way more designed and smooth looking.
Here are some of my favourites.
In light of today beign the last day of class for a while I thought I would share some of Emile's inspiration that he's been trying to impart on us for a while now...
Hey Everybody!
It's that time of year again! Music Monday!
Introducing my new favourite band and eye candy - Gangsterdam!
Saw them last Friday at Another-Days Prom night.
Its the first time I've actually made a concious decision to watch them perform live and made an effort to listen to their tunes, but damn are they good. They have a really cool sound and some sexy ass musicians that make up this little Bandy Band. Yup I said it. Bandy band.
While I'm not such a fan of this music video shot by Crash Car Burns own Bugsy Barnes, it's cute and endearing and trying to be 'Cool and Out There' but the whole Sexy Naked Chicks with Animal Heads Thing has been done to death. It's a good coming out video for them, and with only 400 likes on Facebook, Im sure it's nice to have friends in high places. These guys will shoot to the top of the charts with good old Matthew Mole and Shortstraw in no time at all.
I actually can't wait to see these guys live again or to hear what they'll be doing next.
Check out their video:
The lead singer looks like a boy i knew back in High School. Ha!
I literally cannot get enough of her design work. I love the stark use of bold colours and patterns that seem hap-hazardly thrown together but with such ease you wouldn't even have suspected. It's fun and exciting and makes me wanna dance in the rain whilst wearing protective rain boots that are most likely going to be made out of plastic but just as brightly coloured and fantastic as this. I feel like whenever I describe things it always digresses into a bit of a ramble but hey, Just live your life (eh eh eh eh eheh)
Don't under estimate Rhianna - She means business.
This is some of ( and I really mean some, because there is a load of amazing stuff in her portfolio) of Kruella D'Enfer, a Portuguese designer and artiste'. Please enjoy and check out her other cool stuff here
