Art in Anarchy.

"Right now I like making ink drawings on adhered together sheets of vintage book paper, there is a fragility to these images that I find interesting (as if the wind may blow them away at any moment) and the hand drawn stark black lines against the intricate printed words of the book pages offer a strange fusion and depth that seems to give the images a kind of 'meaning' and back story, even though unconnected in a contrived way."

Loui Jover, an artist from Australia has been drawing since he was a kid. His work at first glance is starling and bold, but once you look deeper you find it to soften and grow as through the paintings seep through the old paper becoming one with their story. I like the bold black lines that make a statement and the pastel colours that forge their way through, wanting to be noticed. I like that fact that he uses pop-cultured images to prove his point.
Its like Graffiti of the utmost anarchy, to paint on the printed word.

"I never pick the image for the pages or visa-versa they just collide as chance permits, any meaning they may have is purely created by the observer and their own imaginings."

Bush Fires and Such

Here's a little music playlist I made today on 8 tracks. Its filled with some Australian artists and some artist that aren't Australian but were suggested to me by my lovely friendsies from Down Under. It's a mixture of Rap, Hip Hop and some slow smooth Jazz just to mix things up again.

Hope you enjoy them. It pretty much sums up my life right now.

"...In summer, the bush fires raged and raged and raged, on such beautiful days, and we fight them with water that runs through the cracks - Water were desperately trying to save.
So I'll just live on wine and water my vines, and sleep on the wind with the fires right behind, and sing on the beaches and dance through the night
Oh we'll cry 'pass the wine, pass the wine, pass the wine..."
